A collection of 11 original songs and instrumentals, plus 2 traditional Bluegrass songs and 1 traditional instrumental.
I play an array of guitars, the mandolin, resonator guitar and the 5 string banjo, mostly handmade by myself and I sing the lead and harmony vocals in a variety of song styles, but all focusing on my love of acoustic music.
I am fortunate to be supported by some of the best musicians that the Netherlands can offer, guesting on bass, fiddle, tin whistle, piano, percussion and Keyboards.

Discover Adrian's Story

I started playing the acoustic guitar at the age of 7, but by the time I was 15, I was also playing the 5 string banjo and Resophonic guitar (Dobro) in a local band. In 1983, I decided on a new musical challenge- the mandolin. Finding it difficult to find a quality instrument, at an affordable price, I contacted a local luthier, who encouraged and helped me build my own mandolin. That one decision changed my life completely.

For over 30 years I have been building, repairing and restoring stringed instruments for professional and amateur musicians alike, from across the world. My passion with every new instrument is to be at one with nature’s materials, and explore the acoustic energy from each piece of timber. Each new day, each new instrument, brings new challenges that I relish from the moment I enter my workshop.

Instruments

I specialise in most types of acoustic musical instruments, so whether you are looking for a Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Resophonic guitar, Fiddle or Ukulele, each instrument would be custom made to your own specifications. Custom neck widths or profiles, or personalised inlay’s using various materials, almost anything is possible, including left handed models.

Repairs

From simple set ups, new nuts or saddles, re-frets, neck resets through to repairing cracks and re-finishing, most repair work is undertaken, and completed as soon as possible. Acoustic guitar pick-ups can also be installed. Please contact me for further information and estimated prices.

Music

I have over the years also been privileged to have appeared on a number of recordings, which are available through my shop page, including my new up and coming solo Cd. At the time of writing, I am still playing regularly in De Stroatklinkers, a Dutch Bluegrass / folk band for over 25 years now, and will, when time allows, be attending folk and Bluegrass festivals across the UK.
